Whole Foods Market’s 60,000 square feet PCH Store in El Segundo, CA earned certification in 2008. It is the Whole Foods Market Southern Pacific Region's first LEED certified store. It earned LEED credits for, among other strategies, interior water use reduction; energy efficient lighting controls, equipment and appliances; construction waste recycling; recycled content and regional materials; daylighting; and an education program.
