Also key has been the emergence of the LEED and CHPS green building rating systems, the latter focused on K-12 schools. Green has become smart, responsible, "hip" …and a political imperative.

Zinner Consultants is in a unique position to assist clients with identifying and implementing appropriate and cost effective strategies. Founded in 1990, ZC brings clients a broad array of experience and expertise to match solutions with goals, opportunity and need. ZC's approach has been validated by the successful completion of assignments and the retention of long-term clients such as Playa Vista and the Los Angeles Unified School District.

ZC provides the following services for both public and private clients:

o LEED & CHPS Program Management: ZC develops and implements technically, economically and politically sound green building and sustainable development programs for large developments and capital programs. Services include strategy development; program and project planning; and program management.

o LEED & CHPS Project Consulting: ZC provides LEED and CHPS project management for projects seeking certification. Services include goal setting; sustainable design assistance; credit management; LEED-Online submittal package review; and project certification support.

o Sustainable City Program & General Plan Development: ZC develops strategies and programs for communities launching sustainability initiatives. ZC drafts option papers and programs; works with stakeholders; and supports adoption.

o Environmental Mitigation & Stormwater Program Management: ZC manages environmental mitigation monitoring and stormwater pollution prevention programs. ZC develops implementation strategies and tools; coordinates technical consultants; conducts field inspections; and prepares required reports for submission to local agencies.
